About Us / Our Ethos

We are a two person team operating in the countryside of southwestern Ontario.

THE ALPHA SECTION

Your bike should put you in a sweet spot zone where you feel strong, confident and comfortable. That’s when we all do our best work, afterall. We recognize the human as the most vital part of the rider/bike combination and believe that the most important aspect of any design is that it suits the operator.

For more detail on how we can do this in a made-to-order package, head to the
System page for the secret sauce.

All fabrication is carried out in our own facility and that of our partner, Reflex CNC, who is also located in Southwestern Ontario. This allows us to develop and support our product with a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Finishing services such as anodizing and paint are handled locally as well so that all aspects of quality are in our control, and support the local economy.

Sustainable & Responsible
Business Model

All our machines are fabricated on Canadian soil, with clean, responsible energy. We design all our machines using recyclable materials that are sourced from North America and are designed to last whether it’s with the original owner or the next.  The modular nature of the bikes means they can be re-configured if life changes and new needs arise. This means they can live on when their purpose changes, rather than languishing in storage or discarded.  Our lean manufacturing method also means there are no big warehouses or container ships moving them from place to place, which drains the earth's resources. The made to order method means less waste.

We are an alternative to the big brand market by providing the same level of engineering tech you expect from a modern MTB, but with the experience of personalization and attention to you, the rider.

If you consider the symbiotic relationship between rider and machine, it can be argued that the most important aspect of the bike is that it allows its rider to perform at their highest level. That means it should be sized properly to that rider, respond efficiently to the power inputs, and provide a preferred balance of stability and playfulness.

Everyone’s body is built differently, and we all have different tastes, preferences, and skill levels, so it becomes obvious that personalization becomes very important for optimal performance for any discipline of riding. Whether it’s long days touring gravel fire roads, zipping up and down the hills of local trails, or aggressively hammering down freeride lines at the bike park, your Keeper will be optimized for you.

With every frame being made to order, we consult with you about how you want your bike to feel. All that is required here, is to tell us what your ideal bike would feel and look like and we take care of the engineering behind it. You can draw from your current and past experiences with previous bikes you've owned and ridden as a reference point for size and other attributes.
